A "HIP" HIPPOCRATIC OATH
(A modern version)

I SWEAR in the presence of the Almighty and
before my family, my teachers, and my peers -
that according to my ability and judgment
I will keep this oath now and forever.

TO RECKON all who have taught me this art
equally dear to me as my parents and
in the same spirit and dedication to impart
a knowledge of the art of healing to others.
I will continue with diligence
to keep abreast of advances in healing.
I will treat without exception all who seek my ministrations,
so long as the treatment of others is not compromised.
I will seek the wise counsel of
particularly skilled physicians where
indicated for the benefit of my patient
and continue to work in alignment
with all who benefit my client.
I will follow that method of treatment
which according to my ability and judgment,
I consider for the benefit of my patient and abstain
from whatever is harmful.
My creed is: HEALER DO NO HARM!
I cherish life and will do healing
with the utmost respect for every human life.

WITH PURITY, HOLINESS AND BENEFICENCE
I will pass my life and live my art.
I will carry out research so that I will be able to offer clients
the latest information available and my first goal is always
one of education of the paitent enabling them
to make informed descions about their health.
The valid informed consent of the client (or the appropriate legal protector thereof)
understanding that research must have as its purpose
the furtherance of the health of that individual.
Into whatever patient setting I enter, I will go for the benefit
of the sick and hold my integrity in all actions, thoughts and deeds.

WHATEVER IN CONNECTION with my professional practice or not in connection with it
I may see or hear in the lives of my patients which ought not be spoken abroad,
I can be trusted to keep silent, all that should be kept secret.

I WILL CONTINUE to keep this oath and it will be represented in how deeply I enjoy life.
Through honoring and continually growing with the art and science of healing -
I can offer a joyous way to health and offer it as an expression of love with the blessing of the Almighty.
I seek to serve my clients and be respected by my peers
and society through the ingrity of living my words, through my daily deeds, and at peace with my prayers and intentions -
offering healing all levels of being - mentally , emotionally, and spiritually,
as well as physically all the days of my life.
