7 Chakras Mudra - Sound Meditation

Chakra Names Seed Syllable Sound Element & Attribute:	Repeat Seed Syllable Sound 3 times in each Mudra Position. 1. Root Chakra - Mulahara (Root Support) Sound: LAM Let the tip of your thumb and index finger touch, fingers up. Arms open to the sides. Concentrate on the root chakra at the point between the genitals and the anus.

	2. Sacral Chakra - Svdisthana (Her Special Abode) Sound: VAM Put your hands in your lap, palms up, on top of each other. Left hand underneath, its palm touching the back of the fingers of the right hand. The tips of the thumbs touch gently. Concentrate on the sacral chakra at the sacral bone (on the lower back).

	3. Solar Plexus chakra - Manipura (City Of The Shining Jewel) Sound: RAM Put your hands before your stomach, slightly below your solar plexus. Let the fingers join at the tops, all pointing away from you. Cross the thumbs. Palms at wrist apart. It is important to straighten the fingers. Concentrate on the solar plexus chakra. on the spine halfway between the belly button and base of the sternum.

4. Heart Chakra - Anahata ("Not Struck" - The Sound Of Creation) "The space within the heart is as great as the vast universe" - The Upanishads. Sound: YAM Let the tips of your index finger and thumb touch. Put your left hand on your left knee, fingers down and your right hand in front of the lower part of hte breast bone (so a bit above the solar plexus) fingers pointing in. Concentrate on the Heart Chakra at the spine, level with the heart.

	5. Throat Chakra - Vishuddha (Purified) Sound: HAM Cross your fingers on the inside of your hands, without the thumbs. Let the thumbs touch at the tops, and pull them slightly up. crating a pointed nest. Concentrate on the throat Chakra at the base of the throat.

	6. Third Eye Chakra - Ajna (Command" or "The Qualified Absolute") Sound: OM or AUM Put your hand before the lower part of your breast. The middle fingers are straight and touch at the tops. Concentrate on the Third Eye Chakra slightly above the point between the eyebrows.

	7. Crown Chakra - Sahasrara ("Thousand Petaled" or "The Unqualified Absolute") Sound: NG Put your hand before your stomach. Let the ring fingers point up, touching at the tops. Cross the rest of your fingers, with the left thumb undernerath the right. Concentrate at the crown chakra at the top of your head.
